I have been to the restaurant three times now - twice last week and once two years ago. Delicious food, very good service and excellent wine list. Have no hesitation in recommending it. The menu has a wide selection and there are specials too - all in all there will be something to suit the most discerning of tastes.

Hosteria Croce d'Oro

It was honestly so good: the food, the ambience and the service. So cool to see the cooks cooking with super fresh ingredients! Lovely evening!

We dined there four times during our extended stay in Desenzano. Everything we ate was amazingly delicious and creative. The wine list and service were excellent and the chef is not only a genius in the kitchen but a charming and interesting person.

Beautiful dinner, thoroughly enjoyed the meat tasting menu and wine pairings every course was delicious! Hidden away slightly set back from the main promenade, a lovely ambience and setting with the lights and background music. Both waiters were fantastic!

It is still a relatively affordable restaurant. The meat quality of the meat feels great and the consumption is not high, but my girlfriend and I feel very like it. Very kind boss, finally gave us zero, thank you very much.

I was hoping to find a charming, authentic Italian restaurant off the main drag for my birthday and we were not disappointed! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Very helpful with the menu. There seemed to be mostly locals (perffeto!). Just what we were looking for. The food was excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in getting away from the crowds.

I had my last lunch in Lago del Garda at Hosteria Croce d&#39;Oro. And it couldn&#39;t have been better. Excellent food, nice wine suggestion, impeccable service and courtesy that I had never found in any restaurant I&#39;d been to. So it happens, my wife and I were on a short schedule. We needed to catch a train right after lunch. As it was a Sunday, we couldn&#39;t find a taxi, neither calling nor on the street. That&#39;s when the owner of Hosteria Croce d&#39;Oro became our garding angel. She noticed our distress, tried to call a cab and when we run out of time, she decided to take us there, personally, in her own car. She saved the day. Thank you, once more. So, even if you don&#39;t have to go on a hurry to the train station, go to Hosteria Croce d&#39;Oro. I promise you&#39;ll eat great pasta, drink a glass of nice wine and have a very good experience.
